The protection of their rights became necessary and therefore certain amendments were done in Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 (herein referred to as ‘LMPC’) that became applicable from 1st January 2018 to establish e-commerce rules to cover various such portals within its ambit and ensure protection to the consumers.
