This sentence is very important for SSC & other Govt Exams.
✔️ Correct: It was I who broke the window.
❌ Wrong: It was me who broke the window.
📌 Exam Rule (Very Important):
After “It is / It was” + who, we use a subject pronoun
→ I / he / she / we / they
Because “who broke the window” refers back to the subject.
