“What’s funny about collecting cars from famous movies is that you don’t collect one type of cars. It’s not only supercars or only Ferraris or only whatever, it’s a mix of every type of car you can imagine. Of course, it’s not a cheap hobby. That’s why I turned it into a business, to be able to sustain the hobby. Roughly to date the collection, we have more than 55 cars, and it’s worth maybe 3 or 4 million (euros), because most of the cars were bought, I started almost 20 years ago, so some of the cars, they’re worth much more now than when I got them first.”

4. Wide of replica of the Ford Explorer XLT which features in Jurassic Park (1993)
5. Various of a replica of the Delorean DMC-12, which featured in the 1985 to 1990 film series ‘Back to the Future’
6. SOUNDBITE (English) Franck Galiegue, car collector: ++STARTS ON PREVIOUS SHOT; PARTLY COVERED WITHS SHOTS 7-8++
“If I had to pick my favourite car among the collection, I would still say the Delorean, again because it’s the movie that probably I watched the most in my childhood. It’s the car I was really craving for. I had an obsession with getting this car. As soon as I started working I was like 21 and I bought one, but it’s not the best to drive. The best to drive is definitely is the DBS.”
7. Various of a replica of the Delorean DMC-1
8. Mid of Aston Martin DBS, similar to the Aston Martin driven by Daniel Craig as James Bond in Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008)

“What really, I hope and I think people will get out from is a big smile on their face, memories that they can share with their families. The little ones want Fast and Furious, the older people will be like ‘this is cool, Starsky and Hutch’ and they share and they explain to each other why they like this car and what was the movie about, or the TV show about. So, it’s really about connecting people and the car is not seen any more as something that just pollutes and is a means of transportation, it’s something that is more the stuff of dreams.”
10. Mid of a replica of the Ford Gran Torino starring Starsky & Hutch (1975-1979)
11. Various of a replica of the Pontiac Firebird Transam, which features in K2000 (1982-1986)
