Amazed by the Sahaba┇Following the Sunnah - Shaikh Dr. Wasiullah Abbas

Описание: People always ask questions like: Is wearing turban a sunnah? Is this sunnah obligatory? Then, the answer is in the video. And we always hear ourselves say: 'But this is just a sunnah.'

The issue that concerns me is that we buy cars, but no one ever said: 'The bumper is not necessary. So I don't need it.' We write school exams, yet no one says: 'Passing marks are more than enough.' We always buy smartphones, yet no one ever said: 'The back cover is not necessary.' etc. But we are first ones to say: 'Sunnah is not obligatory, so I do not want to do it.' May Allah open our hearts to understand.

There are three types of sunnah, and all are to be followed, some are obligatory and others are encouraged:
1. Sunnah Qawliyyah - the sayings of the prophet. If he commands in a saying, then it becomes obligatory to followed.
2. Sunnah al Fiiliyyah - His actions, including both religious and worldly actions.
3. Sunnah Taqririyyah - the approvals of the Prophet regarding the actions of the Companions which occurred in two different ways:
(i) When he kept silent for an action and not opposed it.
(ii) When he showed his pleasure and smiled for a companion’s action.

And shaikh mentioned: Prophet's ijtihaad @ 1:15. An example of this is:
Barira's husband was a slave called Mughith, as if I am seeing him now, going behind Barira and weeping with his tears flowing down his beard. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to `Abbas, "O `Abbas ! are you not astonished at the love of Mughith for Barira and the hatred of Barira for Mughith?" The Prophet (ﷺ) then said to Barira, "Why don't you return to him?" She said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Do you order me to do so?" He said, "No, I only intercede for him." She said, "I am not in need of him."
