Langza is a small high-altitude village located at around 14,500 ft, known for its ancient marine fossils, the iconic Buddha statue overlooking the valley, and one of the darkest night skies in India During winter, Spiti turns extreme. Roads are frozen, water pipes stop working, mobile network disappears, and locals survive only on stocked food, traditional homes, and strong willpower. I stayed in a local homestay to understand how villagers live, cook, sleep, and survive in these harsh conditions.

At night, the temperature drops to -20°C, but the reward is unreal — billion stars, Milky Way visibility, and magical stargazing ✨
This region is also home to rare Himalayan wildlife like wolves and red foxes, making every silence feel intense and alive.
