The Conspiracy: December 29, 1916—Prince Felix Yusupov, Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich, and other nobles plotted to save Russia by killing Rasputin.

THE POISON (Hour 1): Fed him cakes and wine laced with potassium cyanide—enough to kill 20 men. Rasputin ate multiple cakes, drank heavily for 2 HOURS. Zero effect. He kept asking for more wine and where the women were.

FIRST SHOOTING (Hour 3): Yusupov shot him point-blank in the chest. Rasputin collapsed, blood everywhere. Checked pulse—dead. Conspirators celebrated upstairs.

THE RESURRECTION: Yusupov checked the body one last time. Rasputin's eyes OPENED. He LUNGED, grabbed Yusupov by the throat, began strangling him. Ran outside on all fours into the snow.

THREE MORE BULLETS: Purishkevich chased him, shot him in the BACK. Rasputin kept crawling. Shot him AGAIN. Still moving. Shot him in the HEAD. Finally stopped.

THE BEATING: Still not taking chances—beat him with clubs, smashed his skull repeatedly to ensure death.

THROWN IN FROZEN RIVER: Wrapped body in carpet, threw it into the icy Neva River through a hole in the ice.

THE AUTOPSY HORROR: December 31st—body found frozen in ice. Autopsy revealed: cause of death was DROWNING. His lungs were filled with water. He was STILL ALIVE when thrown in the river. Scratch marks found on the underside of the ice where he desperately tried to claw his way out.

Rasputin survived:

Enough cyanide to kill 20 men (no effect)

Shot in the heart (came back to life)

Shot 3 more times in back and head (kept moving)

Beaten with clubs (still breathing)
