नाम बदलने को लेकर बिहार में भी सियासत गर्म हो गई है. बिहार की अलीनगर सीट से बीजेपी के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ रही मैथिली ठाकुर ने कहा कि अगर वो चुनाव जीतीं तो सबसे पहले अलीनगर का नाम बदलकर सीता नगर या जानकी नगर रखा जाएगा. मैथिली ठाकुर ने कहा कि मिथिला माता सीता की धरती है, इसलिए इस इलाके में अलीनगरका कोई मतलब नहीं है.

Maithili Thakur, who is contesting the Alinagar constituency on a BJP ticket, said that if she wins, Alinagar will be renamed Sita Nagar or Janaki Nagar. Maithili Thakur said that Mithila is the land of Mother Sita, so Alinagar has no meaning in this area.
