Symptoms: The Rattling sound at 1/2 or 3/4 throttle and more. Sudden hassitation at WOT (like you stomp on your brakes hard) at 5k RPM then resume power.
Sound starts at 0:10
Rattling started at 2012/ MAR
Determined to be engine knock. ECU did not pull back timing. Took 2 months to isolate the problem to be a broken washer on injector at cylinder 1.
2012 SEP 29: Update Engine Swap complete. This rattling is the result of pre ignition and knocking due to washer at injector failure. 3 out of 4 pistons has a hole burnt through it. Hopefully this will help other people diagnose your engine problems better
