Well, this Ex-F40PH/NPCU used to be on the San Diegan all the time, (as well as the cafe car directly behind this NPCU consist that I caught) and #220 used to have an amazing 2nd Gen P5 horn! Then, when it became an NPCU, it had a great K5LA put on it, and then in March of 2008, it's K5LA was arbitrarily swapped with NPCU #90213's K5LA, which sounds funny. (fouled, an unusual hybrid K5LA, I don't know) but Amtrak NPCU #90220 has had #90213's weird K5LA ever since then, and #90213 now has #90220's K5LA.
Never before have I ever seen or heard of a situation where two nearly identical engines had their horns switched for no reason.
