In this video I demonstrate the John Packer compensating four-valve euphonium I picked up off of reevesbrass.com for just over $1000 USD. The following excerpts demonstrate the high and low registers, as well as some pedal tones, lyrical and technical melodies, and a variety of dynamics and styles. We push the versatility of this euphonium from classic brass band solo repertoire to tuba excerpts to a Strauss horn concerto. This is a cheap, inexpensive horn you can acquire on a budget that will last you for many years and is a great choice for a developing student's first fourth-valve horn.
