Legendary Nashville guitarist Hank Garland played on countless Country and early Rock 'n Roll recordings in the 1950s before branching off into jazz, with his 1961 Lp "Jazz Winds From A New Direction." He undoubtedly would have continued in the genre if he had not been in a horrible car accident, which effectively ended his career.
