Usai mengeluarkan GO!!! pada masyarakat Indonesia Juli lalu, rebelsuns. menyambut tahun baru dengan mengeluarkan L.O.V.E.R pada Februari 14, 2020.
Melanjutkan gaya musik 1980-an mereka, L.O.V.E.R. terinspirasi dari ballad-ballad cinta Phil Collins dan Tears For Fears, yang kemudian dicampur dengan dinamika modern HONNE dan LANY.
Lagu ini ditulis dengan vokalis Reality Club, Faiz Novascotia Saripudin, L.O.V.E.R menceritakan tentang sebuah hubungan yang akan berakhir dalam waktu dekat.

“Saya rasa lagu ini mengangkat sebuah perasaan yang biasa kita pendam dengan cara yang menenangkan. Saya harap LOVER bisa menjadi sebuah dorongan keberanian untuk semua yang menjalani hubungan yang bermasalah untuk menentukan masa depannya sendiri.” ujar vokalis rebelsuns, Dai Ramadhani.

“Secara pribadi, ini lagu rebelsuns. terfavorit saya saat ini. Menurut saya, lagu ini bisa beresonansi ke banyak orang. Juga, lagu ini memperlihatkan permusikan rebelsuns. yang lebih dewasa dari biasanya.” ujar bassist rebelsuns. Gilang Wisnandar.

L.O.V.E.R. adalah single pertama yang dirilis oleh rebelsuns. bersama MD Musik Indonesia, sebuah label musik dibawah naungan MD Corp. sejak mereka mulai bergabung di Oktober 2019 lalu. Lagu ini adalah single kedua dari album mereka yang mendatang.
L.O.V.E.R ditulis oleh Gilang Wisnandar, Dai Ramadhani, Faiz Novascotia Saripudin dan Kris Pradipta. Lagu ini diproduseri oleh Gilang Wisnandar dan Ivan Ardihernawan dari MD Musik Indonesia. Wisnu Ikhsantama (.Feast, Glas Kaca) kembali bertugas dalam mixing lagu ini. Lagu ini kembali dimaster oleh Park Jung-Un (TWICE, ITZY, Day6, GOT7) di Honey Butter Studios, Seoul, South Korea.
