Many audience members see how our fun loving approach to life, how we interact as a family, see the work ethic, responsibility, kindness, and yet toughness we’ve instilled in our boys and wonder how it’s done. A lot has to do with how your little boy arrives to you; each is different with his own distinct, PRE-formed personality. You have a short time to influence it, that’s it. Use this time wisely, formulate your plan (discussed in depth in this series), and have the love, integrity, and fortitude as good Dad to stick to it. Have vision of where you want to be in the future. Using stories, lots of video, and key parenting concepts, TacticalDoodle (my son who went through this process himself with me!) and I have a sit down to help out TNP Dad’s. Disfunctional family or broken family backgrounds are commonplace; this is found on both sides of our family. But we overcame it. As a Dad I started with a fresh sheet of paper and made concerted efforts not bring certain elements into my own family (and was successful). We have had successes and failures just like all families. But we work through, communicate honestly with each other, forgive, and love. Through it all we try to make the world just a little bit better by bringing some boys into this world who will serve it, fight for good when necessary, who are kind and work hard, and achieve their own levels of self-reliance and happiness.
