In this video, I’m creating a mixed media hot air balloon artwork using a beautiful Zuri Designs mold. This project is inspired by a festive, winter and storybook theme and includes layering, textures, star elements, details and antique gold highlights.

Special texture tip shared in this video:
To create a slightly granular, vintage texture, I made my own DIY texture paste by mixing baking soda into texture paste. This gives a beautiful subtle grainy finish and adds depth to the background — perfect for mixed media projects.
I’ve used Zuri molds to create the detailed hot air balloon focal element and built the entire composition step by step to achieve a luxury mixed media wall art look. This kind of artwork is ideal for Christmas décor, festive home décor, and statement wall art pieces.
