This adventure film stars the legendary child actress Shirley Temple as Susannah Sheldon, a young girl orphaned during an Indian raid in the Canadian Northwest during the 1870s. She is adopted by the kind-hearted men of the Canadian Northwest Mounted Police, particularly Sergeant Pat O'Hannegan, played by Randolph Scott. While living at the Mountie post, Susannah befriends an indigenous chief's son and quickly becomes the station's unofficial mascot. When tensions rise between the Mounties and the local Blackfeet tribe due to broken treaties and misunderstandings, Susannah’s innocence and unique position become crucial in helping to prevent a full-scale conflict. The cast also includes Margaret Lockwood and J. Farrell MacDonald.
