An impressive Herkimer diamond cluster featuring two well-formed quartz crystals perched in a stacked formation on a dolostone matrix. Only the lower crystal makes contact with the matrix, creating a visually engaging composition with excellent dimensionality and sculptural presence.
The dolostone matrix has been cut on two sides, allowing the piece to sit upright, or on its side, and display these gemmy crystals beautifully. This aesthetic specimen is a great representation of the contrasting appearances between Herkimer Diamonds and their host rock, the Little Falls Dolostone. We mined this specimen in April of 2025 and reconstructed it along its natural contacts with epoxy 330. Miniature-sized specimen (45x41x22mm) with high aesthetic impact, ideal for collectors with an interest in sculptural mineral specimens.
