2020-2021 has been one of the most challenging for teachers and as the summer holidays approach, it's the perfect time to reflect on what we have learned, celebrate what schools and students have achieved, and use these experiences to make positive recommendations for the future.
The acclaimed journalist and BBC presenter David Dimbleby hosted a discussion of a range of issues facing schools today, with a focus on teachers of Modern Foreign Languages. Our top panel of MFL experts have a range of experiences and perspectives and answered questions submitted by audience members.

Hosted by David Dimbleby
David Dimbleby is a presenter of television current affairs programmes and documentaries. He chaired BBC One's Question Time from 1994-2018. During his BBC career he has presented political programmes such as Panorama and chaired Party Leaders’ debates. He has made documentary series in South Africa, the USA, India and Zimbabwe as well as a number of historical and cultural series for BBC TV. He was the BBC’s anchorman for General Elections from 1979-2017 and anchored both the European referendums of 1975 and 2016. He is the BBC’s commentator for many state occasions including the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph. He published The Sun King, a 6-part profile of Rupert Murdoch for Audible Originals and The Fault Line: Bush, Blair and Iraq, a 9-part politics podcast from Somethin’ Else.
