What is New in 3DS Max 2022 | All New Features | The Modeling Beast

Описание: 3ds Max 2022 is now available! It's only been three months since the last upgrade (2021.3). In this video, I'll go over all of the Major 3ds Max 2022 new features. 3ds Max saw a boost in a variety of ways, but I'd say the main one this year was modeling.
SmartExtrude creates a new standard in poly modeling. For the first time in a poly modeling framework, we have extrusions inwards with automated bridging. Modifiers such as symmetry, Slice, relax, extrude, and smooth has been multithreaded and enhanced, with speed gains ranging from 1.5 to 3000 times, with massive gains more apparent on CPUs with more cores and large poly counts. (The experiments mentioned here were performed on a 7th Generation i7 Machine; however, computers with more cores can produce much greater gains.)
Throw in the work on retopology, mesh cleaner, subdivide, modern sorting methods, pixel selection alternatives, and path deform, and we've got a really good modeling upgrade.


3ds Max offered more than just modeling enhancements. It receives a major facelift in terms of viewport consistency, new OSL maps, and several Bake to texture enhancements. Arnold has got a number of upgrades, including Arnold Render view, a brand new framebuffer in 3dsmax, support for tyflow, various performance enhancements, new PBR materials, and import PBR tool, new security software, improvements to maxscript, further Python 3 support, and a lot more!
