In this unsponsored video series, I will be comparing and reviewing several different brands of short scale bass strings. In episode 2, I will be featuring the DR Hi-Beams stainless steel roundwounds and comparing them with the stock Fender nickel roundwounds found on this Fender Player 2 Mustang bass.
I will provide comments on the packaging, string wound lengths, feel and tones from these DR Hi-Beams.
The bass was recorded direct through a Line6 Pod Go using my usual GK800RB model setting. Level matched, but no EQ or compression was added in post.
To best appreciate the sonic differences, headphones or quality speakers are highly recommended
