Nissan plans to provide NACS adapters by the end of 2024, allowing Ariya owners to charge at Tesla stations. Additionally, starting in 2025, Nissan will offer Electric Vehicles in the US and Canada with built-in NACS ports.
Nissan also announced the launch of its NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network. This network will include over 90,000 DC fast chargers from providers like Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo. The network will integrate with the MyNISSAN app, allowing drivers to find chargers, check availability, and pay for charging—all through one platform. This feature will be available to users by November 2024.
Unfortunately, Nissan LEAF drivers won’t have access to this new app feature, but they can still locate chargers using the NissanConnect EV app. The Nissan Ariya starts at under $40,000, making it a competitive option in the Electric Vehicle market.
