#Long ago, in a poor rural village, there lived two brothers who had lost their parents at a very young age. When their parents passed away, they left behind a house, a small amount of farmland, and some property for the two brothers.
The older brother was greedy and selfish. He found ways to take all the valuable property for himself. He left his kind-hearted younger brother only a small, broken hut and a starfruit tree in the backyard, then forced him to live separately.
Although poor, the younger brother was gentle, hardworking, and never complained. Every day, he worked tirelessly and took good care of the starfruit tree. Despite his difficult life, he lived honestly and always helped others.
That year, the starfruit tree produced many fruits—each one large and sweet. One day, a huge strange bird flew in and began eating the starfruit every day. Seeing that the fruits were almost gone, the younger brother sadly said to the bird:
