Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Sodatsusen (I think I sprained something typing that) fulfills its license's obligation to have at least one 2D fighting game, because it's anime and it was the 1990s and it just had to happen. That said, it incorporates what was state of the art in the genre for 1994, and then goes a couple steps further, adding a fighter-customization system to adapt each sailor to your own playing style through statistical allocation.
