Today was not the usual Aboyne Highland Games that we are used to.
This year we marked the event with a socially distanced gathering of the committee. Instead of the usual Massed Pipe Bands, Dr Jack Taylor welcomed the Earl of Aboyne as Chieftain, by playing 'Cock o the North'. He then played 'Games Day at Home' as Games Chairman, Alistair Grant raised the flag. The Chieftain gave a few words and the committee all raised a glass to toast Aboyne Highland Games 2020.
