(Airport Tour #15) Here's a video tour of Kansas City International Airport. Although it ranks 34th in the US by passenger traffic (as of 2012), the airport stands out for its very unusual terminal layout. Each terminal is in the shape of a partial ring with space in the middle for parking. The rings were made very thin so that passengers could quickly go from the parking lot to their gate. Unfortunately, due to the need to provide security and amenities, the design proved impractical (at least at first) and TWA decided to move their hub elsewhere. Today, though, the airport has good reviews. Hope you enjoy the tour!
