Chained beneath the blazing sun, Bilāl (r.a.) refused to deny Allah, calling only to Ahad, the One and Only. Whips fell, blood ran, yet his heart and voice stood unwavering. Freed by Abu Bakr’s (r.a.) hand, he rose and gave the Adhan, his call echoing across the earth—until the Beloved Prophet ﷺ passed away. He ceased the call, spent the rest of his life in devotion, and passed away, entering the Gates of Paradise.

Verse 1
They chained me down on desert stone,
Heat in my chest, deep in the bone.
They said, “Deny Him, you’ll be free,”
But I said, أَحَد, that’s all for me.

Chorus
أَحَد, أَحَد — the One and Only,
No idol made will hold me slowly.
The whip fell hard, the blood it bled,
But I rose up with truth they dread.

Verse 2
Slave in this world, but heart stood tall,
I stumbled once but did not fall.
They cursed my skin and pressed their stones,
But fire burned deep in my bones.

Chorus
أَحَد, — the Name I cried,
Each strike I took, my Lord replied.
My voice cracked sore, my back turned red,
Found freedom in the words I said.

Verse
Abu Bakr’s hand broke Bilāl’s chains,
A bond of mercy through the pains.
He freed a voice that called to One,
Under the blazing desert sun.

Then to the Beloved, he once said,
"Can one man walk where all gates spread?"
The Beloved smiled and softly told:
"By Allah’s mercy — not by deeds alone."

Eight gates of light, each one a door,
For prayer, for fast, for charity’s store.
For patience, struggle, and truth that stays,
Allah grants mercy in countless ways.

Then a friend of the Beloved came,
Bought my chains and broke my name.
No longer bound, no longer torn,
I rose again, a man reborn.

Verse 3
Now I stand where skies are wide,
Calling prayer with tears inside.
“Come to success,” my voice will ring,
And angels listen when I sing.

أَحَد, أَحَد — I still believe,
Though Beloved had to leave.
Couldn’t call his name no more,
My heart was broken to the core.

أَحَد, أَحَد — he heard my sound,
My footsteps echo holy ground.

Barefoot and proud, I walk the gate,
Eight doors of light await my fate.
Each gate a blessing, path, and sign,
Forgiveness, love — the highest shrine.

أَحَد… أَحَد…
Forever guided by the One,
My heart at peace, my journey done,
In Paradise, my shining home.
