Rahul Gandhi, who was leading a five-member party delegation to visit Lakhimpur Kheri Wednesday, alleged he was not allowed to leave the Lucknow airport. "What kind of permission have I been granted by the UP government? These people are not letting me go out of the airport,” he said. The Congress leader also claimed that he wanted to visit the violence-hit area in his private vehicle, but the police insisted on escorting him in their vehicle.
