Two for the price of one!
Since I am playing a gig with these guys later today, I thought it would be appropriate to add some iPhunk to the channel.
Being a soul & motown band, when we started iPhunk was something very different to every band I had played in before. Forming back in 2013, this is a group that is still playing today, although line ups and set lists have changed over the years. This week marks 12 years since the bands first performance, and this clip is taken from a gig back in 2017, includes the original musicians:
Michael Nickolakis - Vocals
Steve McMinn - Guitar
Mal Toft - Saxophone & EWI
Mike Bandurski - Bass & Vocals
This week also marks 4 years since we lost our good friend and original guitarist, Steve McMinn. One of the finest musicians I ever got to pay music with, Steve was not only an exceptional band mate, but a dear friend to us all in iPhunk. I know we'll all be thinking of him when we're on stage today.
