Theme of the album ‘Sufi Ginans’
The avant-garde Sufi Music Album ‘Sufi Ginans’ is based on abyss deep words of wisdom called ‘Ginans’, written during the 13th and 14th century by Peer Sadrudin and Peer Kabirudin. These divine pearls have been composed with a contemporary yet spiritual / Sufi style by National Award Winning music composer Trilok Singh Loomba and rendered by award winning singing-star Raageshwari. The eight Ragas based Ginans have been recorded lavishly keeping in mind, the vast vision of the dunes, mystic landscapes, and spiritual offerings of this miraculous world. The tunes intended to cross barriers of age, caste and creed and bring people together in a pluralistic approach have the delightful flavors of Afghan, Persia, Sindh and India. Set to Pushto and poignant Arabic tunes, with josh celebrations and Indian celestial and classical melodies, this musical odyssey is surely going to be your new spiritual companion.
