I'm 50 years old, 250 pound runner who went from small steps, to 5ks, to Marathons starting in 2018. Eventually running became a passion and in 2024, after running a few 50ks, I ran two 100km distances. Curiosity took over and in 2025 I signed up for #javelinajundred 100 mile race distance with a 30 hour cut off and knew I wanted a 100 mile buckle to add to my roster. I want to show other people you do not have to wait until you're skinny to run, Ultra and show up. Trail running is life changing and even if you're a plus size runner, and unconvential looking running a slow runner, you are a runner. This is my 100 mile DNF, but in my books, DNF does not mean Did not finish, it means DO NOT FEAR !
