Tata Safari is offered in the following variants – Smart, Smart(O), Pure, Pure (O), Pure+, Pure+S, Adventure, Adventure +, Adventure+ ADAS, Accomplished, Accomplished and Accomplished + 6S. There’s also cosmetic enhancement in some variants in the form of Dark edition. We also discuss these in this video. The Tata Safari SUV is available with 2 engine-transmission combinations. The ex-showroom prices of the 2024 Safari start from ₹16.19 lakh for the Smart variant with the 2.0L turbo diesel engine and 6-speed MT. The range tops out at ₹27.34 lakh (ex-showroom) with the Accomplished Plus Dark 6 Seater variant, which gets 2.0L turbo diesel engine with 6-speed TC.

The Tata Safari only gets a 2.0L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed TC transmission. The Safari turbo diesel engine makes 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1750 and 2500rpm.

The 2024 Safari is 4668mm long, 1922mm wide and 1795mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Safari has a 2741mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile.

The 2024 Tata Safari has a fuel tank capacity of 50 litres and a boot space measuring 420 litres. The Safari has a ground clearance of 200mm. The tyre size of the 2024 Safari base model is 235/65 R17 and the top model rides on 245/55 R19 tyres. Cars running on bigger wheels provide better handling and styling. However, these advantages come at the cost of efficiency. Having bigger wheels means more metal and more rotating mass. Therefore, it adversely impacts your drivability, performance and mileage.
