I headed up to Westy Acres DGC in Greenfield, MA to showcase the battle between the two undefeated (4-0) A-Pool Teams in New England Team Challenge. Both Teams consist of several 1000+ rated players, lots of depth, and a strong pair of ladies.
Fortunately, I had the opportunity to record some high level talent with their approval in some unfortunate conditions. Despite the decent, shoveled-off pads, the fairways were covered in several inches of accumulated snow with an underlying sheet of ice underneath.
In this round, Paul Krans and Ryan Begley (2Buff) took on Casey White and Aaron LeBlanc (Buff) in doubles stroke-play on an alternative White Layout. They played all of the normal White Layout holes with a twist on Holes 3,5,6,8, and 17 where they played to the purple basket location. This was solely due to a time-issue (daylight) and also yielded less lost discs as they played to these visible pins.
