Bassist Ronnie Lane penned it inspired by a book of Sufi wisdom given to him by Pete Townshend that addressed "how hard you'll work if you're hungry."
Lane was also inspired after a stay in Ibiza, where a neighbor would bake daily bread in a traditional Balearic oven.
"The lyrics came from Ronnie's Sufi investigations, with the importance of the 'wheat in the field' and all that," drummer Kenney Jones told Uncut magazine. "I love his melodic bass playing on it.
