Composed by pianist Horace Silver and released in 1965, this soulful jazz classic is a heartfelt tribute to his Cape Verdean father. With its unforgettable bassline, bossa nova groove, and beautifully crafted melody, Song for My Father has become a cornerstone of modern jazz – and a favorite among musicians and listeners alike. Here's our version, performed live in the summer sun.
