Описание: This is Lt. Col. Charles "Chuck" H. Manning's altitude record flight on July 4, 1973 in an HU-16B Grumman Albatross named "Chuck's Challenge" which can be found in the United States Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. The plane is named "Chuck's Challenge" because Chuck wanted to save the plane from the scrap salvage yards. Chuck started his military career as a Navy Metalsmith. He would break down older planes like P-51 Mustangs and it just broke his heart. So he thought if he could set a record in one of them, that they would be obligated to put it in a museum and thus save it from the scrap yards.
