It's important to do this on a regular basis as well as condition and moisturize the leather (per manufacturer's directions) to prolong the life of the shoe.
Terry asked: How do I clean the salt stains off my shoes?
Answer:
What you need-
1) Salt stained shoes
2) 2 clean microfiber cloths (one for using wet, and one for buffing dry)
3) 1 tbsp of white distilled vinegar per shoe
Put about a tablespoons worth of vinegar on a microfiber cloth and wipe the salt stained areas of your shoe. Once you've cleaned away all the salt, use a dry microfiber cloth to buff and remove any leftover salt residue. And voila! No more salt stains!
Note: Vinegar won't damage leather and will help condition and lift salt from the surface. You can clean it with vinegar regularly, but always follow manufacturer's directions on how to condition your shoes to help keep them moisturized and avoid cracking.
