Adunni Olorisha tells the story of Adunni, a white woman whose deep interest in African culture and dance leads her into the spiritual world of the Osun River goddess. Her experience at the Osun Oshogbo festival marks the beginning of her transformation.
After a mysterious illness, Adunni is healed through rituals connected to the Osun River. This healing leads to her selection as the new priestess of the goddess. Her emergence causes jealousy from the incumbent priestess, whose actions result in sickness and disorder within the community.
As the crisis deepens, Adunni accepts her spiritual calling and uses the sacred Osun water to heal the people, restore peace, and confront opposing forces. The play concludes with victory, celebration, and the restoration of harmony in the community.
