Dave Lapham In the Trenches with Former Cincinnati Bengals Great Isaac Curtis

Описание: Dave Lapham connects with former Cincinnati Bengals teammate Isaac Curtis in the latest edition of "In The Trenches" presented by First Star Logistics. Curtis, who played his entire career with the Bengals (1973-1984) was drafted in the 1st Round of the 1973 NFL Draft out of San Diego State University by Paul Brown because of his world-class speed despite having only played one year at wide receiver. However, it didn't take long for Curtis and quarterback Ken Anderson to connect. In fact, the NFL came up with "The Isaac Curtis Rule" stopping defensive backs from mauling Curtis at the line of scrimmage.

Curtis talks about his life growing up in Santa Ana, California his high school athletic career in football and track, and how he could have given up football to compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team if he wanted.

Football won out and Curtis would end his NFL career with 416 receptions for 7,101 yards and 53 touchdowns while being selected for the Pro Bowl four times and second-team All-Pro for three consecutive seasons. In Super Bowl XVI, Curtis posted three receptions for 42.
