"Asha (Hope)" was entered into the 2021 Empower Women Media Religious Freedom Film Competition. The winning films will be screened to world-class business and NGO leaders on August 22 at Dare to Overcome, the virtual event hosted by the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation.

About the filmmaker:

Arpudhamani (Arpu) is a first-year student in intermedia and multimedia studies. She is passionate about reaching the community with her creative and media skills. She has produced projects for several organizations that support social causes in India and abroad. She believes that media is a tool to see justice prevail and create awareness about social issues in the community. She plans to pursue filmmaking to empower and share stories of transformation.
