Assam-Arunachal border dispute resurfaces in Lower Siang, firing reported

Описание: A fresh border dispute between #Assam and #ArunachalPradesh has triggered tension in Hime village under Kangku circle of Lower #Siang district after a group of Mishing people from Assam allegedly began fencing work on land claimed to be within Arunachal Pradesh.

According to local accounts, the development prompted the gaon bura (village head) of Hime to intervene and question the fencing activity, asserting that the land falls within Arunachal Pradesh.
