As many as 2000 nurses in the state of Kerala are on a strike against private hospitals demanding pay hikes.
The protestors are demanding justified salaries as per the Supreme Court’s directions in 2016 that stated a hospital with less than 50,000 beds must pay a minimum of Rs 20,000 to each of its nurses.
