In this Gears of War Retrospective Review I reflect on what made the title a phenomenon that helped drive the success of the Xbox 360. By implementing cover based third person shooter better ever seen before and maintaining a cinematic presentation in a grim world Gears of War managed to influence the industry in a major way and established itself as a long running multi media franchise. This is a re-upload as the initial video featured audio glitches as the result of an export error.
