‘Make in India’ powers the Bullet Train project

Installation of overhead electrification (OHE) masts is progressing well on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. The project has crossed a significant milestone with OHE masts now installed across AROUND 115 route kilometres in Gujarat. These OHE masts are based on the Japanese Shinkansen system and are being installed on viaducts at about 14 metres above ground level. In line with the Make in India initiative, these masts are manufactured in India while fully meeting Japanese design standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
