On the evening of March 5, 2019, the cupolas and chapel of the Colgate University campus were illuminated in recognition of the 200th anniversary of the granting of the institution's charter.
During the day, the university had recognized this momentous occasion by coming together in Memorial Chapel at the campus's core to collect support for three crucial local organizations: the Hamilton Fire Department, Southern Madison County Ambulance Corps, and the Hamilton Food Cupboard.
