TF2: Deathrun - Roaring Knight (Cybertower Boss)

Toby Fox slop makes an appearance in the new Deathrun Cybertower update. yay. Either way this boss is great, and he is tough.

First, your hp is set to 125 and healing is blocked. You HAVE TO manage your hp as best as possible.

There's four phases. 3 of them have very similar attacks. I'll put it bluntly: if you don't make it to phase 3 with at least half your health, quit and try again. Master phases 1 and 2 first.

First attack are the flying stars. Slight rng but it's all about navigating them without getting hit and avoid the explosion radius.

Second attack are the tracking things. This is probably the hardest attack to dodge. Around 6 or 7 spawn every two seconds at different spots, will follow and eventually fly at you. My recommendation is: use your ears. The sound of each spawn tells you where you should be looking. If you are the Left Speaker that means a sword spawned on your left, Right Speaker means on the right, and if you slightly hear something that means on the back. This is important because you NEED to look for the RED things as those are the ones that WILL launch at you. Try not to move a lot. Be meticulous with your movement.

Third attack is the cracking floor with the balls. Simple: try and play around the middle and advance through the cracks. I recommend, the moment you're safe, let go of your movement keys to avoid risks.

Fourth attack are those swords vertical swords. First phase is easy, but phase 2 is MUCH harder. Try and to stay slightly above the middle of the square and do left-right movements.

Fifth attack is the rotating laser. Personally I like going counterclockwise, so I have a better landing position. One of the easier attacks actually.

If you manage all the attacks, then you get to Phase 4. I don't know how he did it, but it's a recreation of Undertale/Deltarune gameplay, and it's BEAUTIFUL. Dodge your way through the stars as best you can. Each of them do like 1 hp thankfully.


If you have a chance to check the whole map, do it. It is one of the best maps of all time, and it's stuff like the Roaring Knight here that make the experience even better.
