Описание: Although he was never a star, John Williamson was an extremely solid player. While only listed at 6 '2, he had a fullback frame and he brought that same gridiron toughness to the court.He could face up from 20 feet and knock down jumpers all day, or he could use his strength to post up and hit the turnaround. He also used his signature fall-away jumper to get his shot off against taller defenders. John earned his spot on the New York Nets in 1973 after being cut by the Atlanta Hawks. His arrival on the team coincided with the Nets acquiring Doctor J and Larry Kenon. John would become a valuable starter during two championship runs for the Nets, good for about 15-20 points a game. Even after the merger, John went back to the NBA and produced at a career-high level, even outscoring his former teammate in the playoffs. However, John’s time in the league was pretty brief, as his attitude issues and struggles with weight left him out of the NBA at 29 years old. But despite this, he was one of the most underrated scorers in the ABA and the NBA when he was hot.
