This week’s vlog follows the next big step in building our family expedition truck from the ground up. I’m converting a 700kg truck chassis into a fully capable overland expedition vehicle for a family of four, and things get heavy fast.
In this episode, I put my new lifting gantry frame to the test, attempting to flip the 700kg chassis and lift it back onto the truck safely. It’s a critical moment in the build and a real test of the setup. After that, I start cutting the aluminium exoskeleton frame to size, preparing everything for the big welder and the next major fabrication stage.
