Описание: This takes you for a tour of EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh, the "World's Greatest Aviation Celebration", on July 23-29, 2018. The show is the national convention of the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Over 10,000 airplanes fly in and well over half a million people attend. It's too big an event to see everything even if you attend every day. This shows what it's like to be there with the enormous scale of the event - it isn't just an air show. Rather than just have video clips from the convention, I included context about what was going on or where it was happening, and a mix of video and still photos to get more coverage of the event.

The video should also be simply fun to watch if you like airplanes. AirVenture always has lots of airplanes. 12,000 airplanes flew into the airport for this event. Yes, seriously.

My background for giving you the tour in this video is as an attendee and volunteer at AirVenture since 2010. I have volunteered in some capacity every time I attended, initially as a speaker but mostly on the flight line at both the Vintage and Homebuilt areas. I'm a licensed pilot and flight instructor.

A note about the night air show text... To keep things brief I described the regularly-scheduled nights for the night air shows on Wednesday and Saturday. At OSH18, the Wednesday show only lasted a matter of minutes before approaching thunderstorms led event officials to postpone it to the following night. The show went without problems on the rescheduled Thursday and regularly-scheduled Saturday shows. The subtitle text says "night air shows Wednesday and Saturday nights of the show" because that's the normal schedule and is what to expect in the future.
