東鐵綫自動月台閘門安裝工程順利竣工。港鐵全綫重鐵車站已經配備自動月台閘門或幕門，為乘客帶來更佳的乘車環境。工程團隊主要利用晚上收車後的「黃金兩小時」內完成相關工序，同時透過調配資源及人手，日夜兼程，於可行情況下在日間非繁忙時段在有備用月台的車站進行工程，加快進度，期間工程及營運團隊亦緊密協調，靈活分配有限的非行車時段，以兼顧日常鐵路設施維修保養的工作。

The Automatic Platform Gates (APGs) installation retrofits on the East Rail Line (EAL) were successfully completed by the end of May. All MTR heavy rail stations are now equipped with APGs or Platform Screen Doors. Passengers are enjoying a better travelling environment with the upgraded facilities. The project team primarily utilised the "golden two hours" after train services finished each night to complete the necessary works, and strategically deployed their resources and workforce to expedite progress during non-peak daytime hours at stations with spare platforms. Throughout the works, the project team and operations team coordinated closely to flexibly allocate the use of limited non-traffic hours while also maintaining the necessary routine maintenance work for railway operations.
