This Brand new ( not reman) Edelbrock AVS2 carburetor from Summit racing. Carburetors down days are notorious for becoming fresh the manufacturer incorrect out the box. This one I found just the floats., off camera after further inspection I found metal shavings in fuel bowl and accelerator bore.
I could also see the whoever installed the rear jets hand slipped and almost stripped it. Lastly the secondary throttle bores were off center. All of these would have caused huge drivability problems that the average person would’ve assumed it was something else because the carb was new. So I would recommend buying your carburetor from a reputable builder nowadays.
