Boracay Island has many to offer aside from its pristine white beaches with blue waters. One of the things we look forward to when visiting the island is trying out different kinds of food that the locals offer. Jasper's Tapsilog & Resto is one of the well-known restaurants in the island due to its affordable prices and they offer Filipino dishes. It is basically a carinderia with better place for customers to eat. Japser's is located along Boracay Main Road, near D'Mall. You will not miss this place due to its large signage that is prominent on the road. You will also see long queues, especially around lunch time. Upon entering the place, you will see many dishes laid out on the counter, but they also have other meal options that are cooked as you order (such as their tapsilog, pansit, sisig, etc.). We ordered ginataang langka, Bicol Express, bistek and pochero (and lots of rice). Food was ok and what you would expect from a good carinderia. Their staff were attentive and helpful despite the huge number of orders taken (including those for take-out and delivery). On top of this is that the place was clean and orderly. They have self-service station for water, condiments and utensils. PRO-TIP: Japser's second floor offer a more relaxed vibe (away from queues and lesser noise as well). It is also easier to get vacant tables here.
